Top reasons to use AI in education - The Bulletin Time

#artificialintelligence

Today we are witnessing a collision of three areas – data, computing and education – which has far-reaching consequences and raises fundamental questions about the very nature of education: what to teach and how to teach. The use of artificial intelligence allows you to redistribute the resources of the teacher. In the traditional model of education, there is a serious problem of uneven distribution of teachers, which also leads to uneven and unequal education. By investing in AI education, teachers around the world can turn their own resources into curriculum. Everywhere in the world, children use the same educational resources.

Top Reasons for Predictive AI for Cybersecurity Enhancement

#artificialintelligence

Top investigative agencies in the United States like the FBI have reported an increase of 300% in cyberattacks since the COVID-19 outbreak. Most of these attackers use deception, which is why predictive artificial intelligence (AI) becomes essential for cybersecurity. A predictive AI model collects data, analyzes and offers recommendations that can prevent various cyber attacks. Many organizations reconsider using Artificial Intelligence due to the high initial cost and need for infrastructure. However, according to an IBM report, businesses lost $3.86 million in 2020, with a total of more than 200 days spent on finding the actual breach. In 2021, data breach costs rose from $3.86 million to $4.24 million, the highest average total cost in the 17-year history of that report.

This is what companies can do to build more inclusive AI

#artificialintelligence

Data diversity: Data diversity refers to how wide of a net is cast by your dataset. Does it cover all of your potential use cases, including those that may be less common? Does it represent all of your end users and how they may interact with your model? Lack of coverage is one of the top reasons why companies fail in their endeavours to build more inclusive AI. It's this step that requires some of the most careful consideration in the AI life cycle.

The pandemic led to 'significant' increase in AI adoption across manufacturing, survey finds

According to a 2020 PricewaterhouseCoopers survey, companies in manufacturing expect efficiency gains over the next five years attributable to digital transformations. McKinsey's research with the World Economic Forum puts the value creation potential of manufacturers implementing "Industry 4.0" -- the automation of traditional industrial practices -- at $3.7 trillion in 2025. Seventy-six percent of respondents to the Google Cloud report say that they've turned to "disruptive technologies" like AI, data analytics, and the cloud to help navigate the pandemic.
